Risks of Upper Eyelid Surgery
Video transcript: As can be expected with any surgical procedure there are some potential risks. There are risks inherent all surgeries, these include bleeding and infection. In and around the eye there are some specific risks. One of the most important things to be aware of is that bleeding can occur underneath the skin of the eyelid after the skin is closed. If this were to occur and if this were severe, that can cause damage and injury to the eye. And this is something that will be needed to be treated emergency. It's very important to be aware of some of these risks and try to minimize the potential risk.
