The knowledge behind the art of injectables is critical to getting a great look. The whole clinic has always shown me extraordinary service and I recommend their services with my whole heart.
Obviously, it seems like there are a lot of choices in the Vancouver area for cosmetic procedures, but I settled on 8 West quickly and never regretted a thing.
Really great experience. Helped me feel more revived and youthful. Really wish I would had done it sooner. Not sure why I waited. It is really worth it. Very down to earth and welcoming staff and professionals
I had a number of procedures (facelift, eye lids, brow lift) performed on me by Dr Buonassisi and cannot express enough praise regarding him and the results that I experienced. I have unlimited confidence in him as a cosmetic surgeon and absolutely no regrets.
My experience was all positive at 8 West - the staff were all professional, proficient and very caring. I had an upper eye bleph and eyebrow lift and Dr B did a wonderful job. I'm very happy with the results.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is a candidate for otoplasty?
Most people who feel that they have protruding ears are optimal candidates for otoplasty. Your candidacy for this procedure will be discussed during your complimentary pre-consultation, where a photo review will be conducted, and Dr. Buonassisi will determine whether he can achieve your desired results with surgery.
How is Otoplasty Performed?
Otoplasty takes around 2 hours to perform, and is typically done under local anesthetic. The technique used will vary depending on what is causing the ear to protrude.
Dr. Buonassisi meticulously creates an incision behind the ear, and excess cartilage and skin may be removed. The cartilage is then folded into the proper position, and secured with stitches. Because of their placements, the incisions are virtually imperceptible, for a natural result.
How long does it take to recover from otoplasty?
Recovery from otoplasty requires you to wear a dressing around the ears for the first two weeks post-surgery. It is normal to experience some bruising, discolouration and swelling around the ears. You can resume most normal activities, such as household chores, a brisk walk, or light exercise within a few days after the procedure. You can resume more vigorous, weight-based exercises once the dressing has been removed.
Your patient care manager will have detailed post-operative instructions and will be there to assist you every step of the way. Don't hesitate to reach out to them with any questions you have about the healing process.
