Medications To Avoid After Rhinoplasty
The question is are there any medications that I can't take after rhinoplasty? The only medications you really should avoid are blood thinners. If you are taking a blood thinner that is prescribed by your doctor, then we would've had that conversation prior to your surgery and organized the restart date. Usually that is at Day 5 after surgery if you are taking something like Coumadin or Warfarin. Now, that's very rare in our rhinoplasty patients, the only blood thinner that people usually take are anti-inflammatory like Aspirin or Ibuprofen. You can restart those at 3 to 4 days after the surgery if you would like.
