What is Coolsculpting® Fat Reduction?
The CoolSculpting® fat-freezing procedure is the only FDA approved non surgical fat freezing treatment. The treatment works by using controlled cooling that will help eliminate stubborn pockets of fat resistant to diet and exercise. The CoolSculpting® treatment uses Cryolipolysis technology; this technology backed by science helps to ensure that after each treatment fat cells are frozen, killing them permanently. How Does Coolsculpting® Work for Fat Reduction?
Cryolipolysis is the technology behind CoolSculpting®. Cryolipolysis is derived from the greek roots cryo, meaning cold; lipo, meaning fat; and lysis, meaning loosening. It was discovered that fatty tissue when cooled below body temperature, but above freezing triggers the body's inflammatory response. In this response the body's fat cells that are targeted undergo localized death, this means that the cells are killed. Generally, when you lose or gain weight your fat cells increase or expand, you never lose the cells. The best part about CoolSculpting® is the actual riddance of these fat cells. What to expect during a Coolsculpting® Treatment?
After booking a complimentary CoolSculpting® consultation with us you will see one of our CoolSculpting® experts. At your consultation you will discuss your goals and the areas that bother you the most. Your CoolSculpting® expert will then work with you to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. With different applicators to choose from your expert will ensure you will reach your desired goals within your timeframe and budget.During the treatment your CoolSculpting® expert will place you in the best position for the applicator. At this point a gel pad and the applicator will be applied to the targeted area. The CoolSculpting® applicator works to deliver controlled cooling to the site. You can expect to feel a growing cold numbness on that area, after about 5 minutes this will subside and you won’t feel any discomfort other than some numbness.The time per applicator is about 45 minutes, depending on the number of areas you can expect to be there for about 2 hours. At 8 West Clinic we utilize Dual CoolSculpting®, which means we can apply two applicators at the same time, cutting your treatment time in half. During your treatment you can relax, take a nap, read a book or check emails.After the cycle for the applicator is over your technician will remove the applicator and massage the area to breakdown the fat cells. At this time your skin will feel quite cold to touch, and may feel a little bit cold and numb for the few hours following your treatment. This will subside and you will feel back to yourself once your skin warms up.

After your treatment you will not notice any immediate results.
